Dr Mark Ralfe is a Sports Medicine GP who can help diagnose your injury and help you get back to your sport, gym or dance team as soon and safely as possible.

Mark trained in New Zealand’s oldest medical school –  Otago Medical School, graduating in 1994.  After having a month off he traveled to Australia completing his Intern year at the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle and Tamworth Base Hospital.  Mark traveled to Adelaide having heard how nice the place was and did his first RMO year at Women and Childrens Hospital and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.  Over the next two years Mark finished his Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The Queen Elizabeth and then the Diploma of Child Health at the Womens and Childrens Hospital.  Mark gained entry to General Practice training and completed the FRACGP exams in 1999. Mark worked for the next year in the country finishing 2 great years enjoying rural practice before coming back to Adelaide and starting to develop his interest in Sports Medicine.  The University of NSW had a great Masters of Sports Medicine course ( now sadly not available)  which Mark enjoyed completing part time over the next 6 years while working on General Practice.

Over this time Mark also completed a Certificate of Sports Medicine through Sports Medicine Australia, a Certificate of Emergency Medicine ( Lyell McEwin Hospital), Emergency Management of Severe Trauma training (2000), the theory component of the Masters of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy (Flinders Medicial Centre) and a basic then advanced Certificate of Clinical Hypnosis (Australian College of Hypnosis)
